Pajama Party

Ethan's class at school had a Pajama Party for Halloween. I was excited that I could go and get a few cute pictures!

Happy Halloween! I don't know if we'll have any cute pictures to share of Ethan in his costume. He has SCREAMED any time I've tried to dress him up, so he may just wear some Arkansas attire and be an Arkansas fan. We'll see...

Ring Around the Rosie...

We've been singing a lot of that these days...Ethan loves it!

Here he is doing it "by himself." It may not be perfect, but you can tell what he's singing!

Brainwashed?

I think we may have inadvertently brainwashed Ethan to immediately say 'NO' anytime he hears the word 'brother' or 'sister.' He used to just say no when we asked him if he wanted a baby brother or sister, but now even if he hears the word mentioned in conversation, he immediately says 'NO!'

Oh, and apparently he can't say 'Mommy' anymore. He calls me either Monnie or money, as you can see in the video. Crazy kid...

***And by the way, whoever is voting for a girl in the poll - you are all wrong! It's going to be a boy. Just you wait and see...

Pumpkin Patch

I'm joining the rest of the blogging world and posting the traditional fall pumpkin patch pictures. We went with our Life Group from church on Sunday and had a great time!

What do you think?

Our ultrasound is scheduled for one week from today. Thought it'd be fun to take a poll and see what everyone thinks. Vote in the top right corner!!!

Go Tigers!

We're definitely starting Ethan early on Tiger Football (who STOMPED Rogers last night, by the way!). Lonnie and Ethan went to the game with Shad and he said that Ethan LOVED it!!! He was mesmerized by all the action, laughed, and just had the best time. I stayed home to work on report cards and picked up Ethan at halftime to put him to bed.

Side note....Ethan has FINALLY learned what it means to 'say cheese!' He won't do it all the time, but when he's in the mood, he'll actually ham it up for the camera!

A Boy Hard at Play

There's really nothing all that exciting about this video; I just thought it was fun to see him concentrate, as well as "talk" to himself as he was playing.

Don't Let Daddy See...

When Ethan wakes up too early in the mornings and I'm still trying to get ready for school or church, he basically gets to watch me get ready. As you can tell, he must wake up early a lot, because he knows how to use all my makeup!

Ethan's New Words

Ethan's talking a lot more these days, but these are a few of my favorites:

"bee-bah" = bus (he points them out each afternoon after I pick him up from school)
"boppers" = flowers
"nina, nina" = in a sing-song voice "clean up, clean up"
-numbers - I've been working hard with him on counting. He will repeat a lot of the numbers, but his favorites are 2, 5, 9, and 10. When I start counting with one, he says two, then he'll repeat some here and there, and will usually get 9 and 10 correct on his own.
-colors - I can tell they've been working on colors at school. Lately he asks me all the time, "boo???" (blue) He sounds French when he says it. He also really likes pink. We have some blocks that he builds with and there are a few pink ones and he always goes for those first. Ha!

Love that little guy!

FYI...we find out in a week and a half if we have a baby boy or girl!!!!

Best Buds

We went camping last weekend in Branson for the annual church campout. I normally post dozens of pictures of our camping trips, but really, this one sums it all up:
We had fun with our friends. We are thankful for our friends. Enough said. :)

(okay, and maybe I'm too lazy to post the rest of the pictures and type the long story about how Ethan fell out of the camper and it was freezing cold)

A Mysterious Boo-Boo

We got a phone call from daycare this morning to let us know that Ethan got a bit of a boo-boo. They weren't sure exactly what happened, but his finger was cut, bleeding, and bruised. They think it might have gotten closed in the toy cash register. They said it didn't need stitches, so they just cleaned it up, bandaged it, iced it, gave him some Tylenol, and lots of hugs and kisses. They said he was pretty distraught about it at the time.

Soooooo....I wasn't sure what to expect when we picked him up today, but I wasn't expecting this!!!!...

That's a pretty serious boo-boo for a 20 month old, if you ask me! But, he's perfectly fine. When I picked him up I asked him to show me his boo-boo, and he couldn't even show it to me - I guess he had already forgotten about it. But he was favoring his other hand most of the night for playing and eating.
Crazy, huh?
