Remembering Grandpa

Danny's headstone was placed last week, so we went to see what it looked like.  Ethan brought along his Batman notebook that he's been drawing in.  He wanted to show Grandpa the picture he had drawn of his tractor.  It was very sweet.

Little Monkey

This kid just loves to climb!  His strength is quite impressive!

Two Wheels!!!

My big boy learned how to ride his bike without training wheels!!!!  It took him about 5 minutes before he had it figured out.  We should have taught him sooner, but I was dreading the battle of making him wear a helmet, which ended up not being a battle at all.

Camp Quest

Another awesome year of Camp Quest with our awesome church family.  We look forward to it again next year!

Planting

We were blessed with many beautiful flowers and plants from Danny's funeral.  This one was from Logan's grandma, and we thought it would be perfect to plant outside as a way for the boys to remember Grandpa.  Now we see it everytime we pull into the driveway.

Apple Cider Days

When Lonnie was a teenager, he and his dad used to make apple cider using an old school cider press.  About a year or two ago, Lonnie was able to buy the same cider press that they used back then and now we are the proud owners of a cider press!
About two weeks ago, the apple trees at Lonnie's parent's house were finally ready to be picked.  We had a blast picking the apples, climbing the apple trees, and eventually making apple cider.  The boys were SOOOO into the cider making process.

Making the cider:

Eli loved watching the cider come out.  He kept saying, "It's tuming! It's tuming!"

The next night, new crew:

What great memories we made!  Aunt Deb was still in town from Danny's funeral, so she got to join in the fun.  I'm thankful for Lonnie's memories of making cider with his dad, and that now we can have that tradition with our boys.
