Gymboree

Ethan and I have been enjoying going to Gymboree the past two weeks for a class. Although Ethan LOVES it, he has really surprised me by some of his shy, reserved behavior. He loves climbing and going through all the obstacles, but seems quite intimidated by all the whole-group activities. He REFUSES to participate in any of the fun parachute activities. When too many other people are close by, he pretty much hovers/clings for dear life to my legs. (uh, Mom, sound like anything I did when I was little??????) This kind of stuff wouldn't surprise me if I stayed home with him and he wasn't around kids very much, but he's around kids all the time, between daycare, church, and all our friends with kids, so I've been taken aback by all of this. Anyways, I'm hoping he'll come out of his shell soon!
