Well, Parker, we need your help again! We found this lovely little creature in our house yesterday morning. We've seen several others like it before, but this was definitely the biggest one so far. So what can you tell us about it, Parker?

WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?!?!?!Oh wait, that is our job isn't it?? UGH! Hopefuly it's not poisonous (again, I guess our job) we'll figure it out... give us a few days...until then, get a dog or cat or something:)
We're lovin' these impromptu science lessons
Ok, so whilel Lillie napped we got some info for you...
It seems you have a House Centipede on your hands. See: http://pubs.caes.uga.edu/caespubs/pubcd/b1088-w.html
They aren't poisonous and actualyl are benefial in eating insects you really don't want around (like cockroaches).. They love damp places and often you will find them if you have trash piles, rocks, boards, leaf piles, compost piles and similar materials around the immediate vicinity of the outside of your home (who doesn't?) Anyway... they are definitely ugly and gross but not harmful!
Hope this helps... Give Ethan big huggies and kisses from us...
Thanks for the info, Parker! (and Nicole) I bet it won't be long before Parker is looking up this kind of stuff on his own!
Even though they're helpful little creatures, I don't think we'll keep them as pets! Yuck!!!!
I'll keep my eyes open for more interesting creatures!
oooohhh a pet! We didn't even think of that option! We found the juiciest biggest Wolf Spider in our garage a few weeks ago. Parker has been keeping it in a tank and feeding it bugs that he hunts. We woke up the other morning and lo and behold the spider had an egg sac!!!! NOT cool (yet, kinda cool).. Anyway, we are all about critters... Thanks for sharing yours:)
