Okay, did anyone watch Jon and Kate Plus 8 last night? Jon got a hair transplant - it was soooooo disgusting!!!!! I guess I've never really thought about what a hair transplant entails, but I had no idea it involved cutting a one-inch strip out of a person's scalp and stapling the scalp back together! Gross!!!
I've been dying to talk to someone else that watched it, but no one around here saw it.
Anyone out in cyberland?

Levi and I also watched it last night. Levi was interested all week to see it because lets face it, with his family genes a hair transplant probably isn't too far into his future!
Levi could hardly keep his eyes on the screen! I told him I would be prefectly happy and willing to take the staples out. :)
Yes it was gross and I didn't realize the scalp itself had to be remmoved either! Yuck!
Levi, DON'T DO IT!!!! It's definitely not worth a one-inch gap in your head!
And I always thought that women were the ones that went through pain for beauty.
Here's my question...
In a couple of years, the rest of his head is going to bald even more. So will he still have the transplant hair in the front, but little hair elsewhere???? He'll look ridiculous!

I didn't see it, but I just don't get why people want to go through so much pain for looks. I suppose I could see it if his looks pertained to his career, but honestly I thought he looked just fine before. I'll have to look for this one in the coming weeks to see if they air it again.
Personally, I think he should have just shaved his head and faced up to his aging like a man! The transplant thing, I just don't get. BUT... the show has become really popular and maybe since Kate had her tummy tuck, they wanted Jon to do something vain and entertaining... I love the show and everytime I get done watching I thank God for my fairly quiet life (ha!)

You know, I had never thought about the only hair remaining being the transplated hair in front until Jon mentioned it on the show. That would be awful!
I honestly think Levi will go through with it eventually. The poor guy just doesn't have the head shape or face to be a baldy.
If it were me, I would rather go into it not knowing what was about to happen!
Okay, after reading everyone's comments, let me (the hair stylist) recommend something WAY before surgery comes along. THEY MAKE SHAMPOO'S TO TREAT BALDNESS!!! HELLOOOO???? Doesn't anyone thing about that before going to such extreme measures??!! ha, ha! Laura: Have Levi call me and I'll hook him up with something to try! Oh, and as we all know, Carl is the most bald of all the boys and he says he's not ever going to shave his head and he's keeping his hair while he's still got it! :)
I didn't see it but I LOVE that show! The kids are sooo cute! I want to squeeze the mess out of Aiden's sweet little face. I love kids with glasses! I'll have to try and catch that one on re-runs.
