Playing Dress Up

After looking at all the pictures from the last week or so, it looks like we just play dress up with him all day! I have to admit, I love getting him dressed in his "nice" clothes, which most of these pictures show.

This is my favorite picture of all!!!!

Thanks to Jon and Becky for this adorable outfit!!!

Believe it or not, our child is under there somewhere!!!!

Thanks Aunt Nicole for the cute Bengals onesie. Unfortunately, he peed on the other one before he got to wear it (Lonnie says hopefully that's not an omen for the season)

haha... pee would be an improvement (I think the Bengals have had poop on their onesies for a few seasons now)

Are those pants seersucker? very sophisticated Ethan.

So, Lonnie is off of SAHD duty? Hope this week goes well for you guys...

We miss you!!!!

After google-ing the word Seersucker and realizing it is a brand, I can say no, they are Chaps. Jon and Becky from Midland bought the outfit for Ethan. Is it bad that I've never heard of Seersucker before?

Lonnie actually had to work this past Sat but only for half a day, and he gets to take off Friday this week. We are trying to be very organized and make sure most of Ethan's stuff is packed up tonight that we are taking to "the babysitters." (aka...Rachel) It'll be interesting to see how things go with both of us back at work.

Also, Nicole - Lonnie and I were talking about baby signing tonight. Are there any videos in particular that you would recommend? Thanks!

I thought seersucker was the material, a light weight crinkly cotton.. either way, his pants are cute!

The Signing Time videos are AWESOME! They are good b/c kids can grow into them. My kids watched them at 8 months and still LOVE them! http://www.signingtime.com/

Our library has all the DVD's I would think yours might too. Our PBS station also shows them every morning.. you can check your local staion and see if you can just record them. The videos are good b/c they are a really decent mix of real people, singing, in struction, repetition and very little cartoon. They are entertaining and yet, educational and you will learn all the signs as well..

I can seriously go on and on about this...after doing it with both kids I feel like I kind of have a decent grip on it. If you wan tmore info like what the first signs should be and some good websites, let me know and I can send you a whole indepth email...

Good luck with the new routine this week. I'm sure it will all go well... love the new photos!!!!

I just looked up Signing Time on our TV and it comes on Sunday nights at 6pm, so the DVR is set!!!
If you don't mind sending me an email with more info on signing, that'd be great. No rush, though. Whenever you have time. I guess the most important thing I want to know right now is how soon I should start.

I'm sure this week will go well, too. But it's not a good sign that I'm up at 1:30am, and it's not because of Ethan! I can't sleep. My mind won't seem to turn off - what if I forget something? what do I need to tell Rachel in the morning? what if I end up being late to school? etc, etc, etc...

I'm off to "try" to sleep...

Just kidding, I didn't go to bed. I went to signingtime.com. I'm so intrigued! Did you stick with the baby signing videos, or did you start with those and then buy the other signing videos, too?

Adorable!!! It's amazing to see how much he changes just from new posts! Camden has the same shirt as the last picture, Target right? We had to go shopping for him the other weekend because he's getting so big. How's everything going with getting back into the groove of work? Is Lonnie still on leave? I went to work for the first time on Saturday and left Camden with Carl for the entire day! It went well with them of course, but I was really missing him!!

We need to get together soon! Maybe next weekend? Hope you have a great week!!

Love the pics! And thanks for showing my messy bed!!! I think it was made at one point in time that day, but after the kids use it as a trampoline, it's back to a mess!

Ethan and I are having a great day! See, I even have time to write a comment on your blog, which I rarely do on a normal day. He's been good for me!!
