haha... I think that in photos Ethan is a pretty equal mix of you both.. he has a mix of features... I know though that in person the resemblances can definitely be different. You need to do this every month for the first year. Babies change SOO SOOO much those first few months... It would be interesting to see where Ethan ends up! Either way he is adoreable!
Hope you are surving around there... how is feeding? How is sleeping? Can't talk about a newborn without bringing up both subjects!
Feeding is going much better. Ethan is eating without much of a battle now, the only problem is that I'm not producing enough milk, so we still have to supplement with formula. That was hard at first (emotionally), but I'm fine with it now. In fact, we've got a pretty good system down with feeding times. I nurse for as long as he'll let me, then Lonnie will feed him a bottle while I pump (in hopes of producing more milk). That's more than anyone other than Nicole really wanted to know, I'm sure, so sorry to anyone else who read that! :)
Sleeping is going great! He's a natural, just like his momma! He does especially great at night. Once feeding is done, he goes right back to sleep (most of the time). So out of every three hours, we get to sleep two of them. Not too bad - I know it could be a lot worse. To make up for lost sleep, we've been sleeping in til about 9, since he's still asleep, as well as going to bed early.
But, boy, is my world going to change once Lonnie goes back to work! He goes back on Thursday, so I'm going to enjoy these last 4 days with him around. He is a GREAT helper and a GREAT dad! :)
I love the look-a-like meter!! I have thought he looked a lot like each of you from the beginning. The thick dark hair and "beefiness" give the first impression of a Lonnie-boy, but all the pictures I've seen that are more up close look a lot like you! Love your blog..makes up for not being there to see him myself. Cliff told me he visited you and held him today. Are you nursing every 2 hours? That will really help with your milk supply...also, tea and a beer every day. much love...
I am a 31 year old wife, teacher, and mommy. Lonnie and I have been married for 7 years and have two little boys. Ethan is 3 years old and Eli is 15 months.
I hope this blog will help us keep in touch with family and friends that live too far away.
