Time to settle an ongoing dispute between Lonnie and I. As the days go on, more and more of Ethan's hair keeps falling out (as evident by the fact that I had to lint roll his crib yesterday to get rid of all the hair). It has officially formed a perfect mohawk. Lonnie thinks we should just cut the top off and make it all one length. I, however, say there is NO WAY WE ARE CUTTING MY FOUR-MONTH OLD'S HAIR!!!!! I know it looks ridiculous, but I just can't cut my baby's hair - not at four months, anyway! I'm okay with sporting the comb-over look (yes, I know that looks ridiculous too, but I'm not cutting his hair!)
Soooooooo....what do you think???? Don't be afraid to disagree with me. I already know that Rachel thinks we should cut it off, too. So, leave a comment and tell me your honest opinion.

Ok, my offical vote is to give him a haircut!! Just to trim some off of the top to make it a little more even. Just to get rid of the mohawk.
Gavin was born with a tiny bit of blonde hair on top and sides and long darker hair in back only. He looked like a 90 yr old man. I got quite offended when someone would say they were surprised we weren't cutting the back.
And now as a mom of a (almost)1 yr old I miss his little old man head.
So my vote is to keep it.
When he is older you will miss every stage he has gone through and wish the mohawk would come back just for a day!
I think I agree with Laura.. All kids go thru little growth issues that may look awkward at the time but down the road those little "quirks" will be missed. He is sooo adoreable that whatever you decide will be cute still...
I think keep the mohawk, and let nature take its course. If Addyson's hair keeps growing at the same pace she'll end up with a mullett. Think positive at least a mohawk is more in style than a mullett.
I say keep it too Margaret! It took me until Chloe was 22 months old to break down (granted she is a girl) but still. I'm glad I waited. They grow up so fast you will blink and the mohawk will be gone so don't make that happen any faster than needed. Go with your gut! =) Michelle Stewart
Ethan is sooo adorable! Tuff call on the hair, but in the big "scheme"--hair will grow back--trim it a little and you will have less to clean up out of his bed!! It will all grow in quickly. I say trust Lonnie's gut on a guy's hairstyle!

I say leave it alone! It is so cute and it makes Ethan, Ethan! I agree with the other mommy comments - once he is grown up you will miss the mohawk days.
Just in case Ethan turns out to have (lack of) hair like his Grandpa, I'd say let him enjoy it while he can ;-)
Okay, this is coming from a truly Proffesional licensed Cosmo. who is also a new mommy. NO WAY on this wonderful Earth can you cut your baby's hair!!!! Here's the thing, every baby's hair grows differently and there's no rhyme or reason to it. That's the best part of it all! This is the ONLY point in time in which your baby can have as cute and crazy hair as possible and you can totally have fun and get away with it! If Ethan were 8 years old for example, you couldn't get by with an uneven crazy mohawk. Let's face it, he's only 4 months old! Love it and enjoy it while he still has hair! Have you seen Camden's head lately??!! Haha!! Don't cut it Lonnie!!!!
